Dear Future Me,

How are you? How is/was college? What career path did you choose? I honestly do hope that I have learned along the way that it’s okay for me to rest, despite me being a workaholic. I’m sure that no matter what amount of stress has been given to me, I will be able to deal with it. Do you have a family? However my future life is I’m sure everything has worked out for the best.

How are mom and dad? Make sure you don’t forget to take care of them and send them money. I hope mom’s breast cancer doesn’t come back, it’s been away for a while now, but make sure she makes (and keeps) her mammogram appointments. Don’t forget about dad’s health problems. How are Manong and Jon? I hope you keep in touch with them and that if you have a family that your kids get to visit everyone often. As for lola, I hope you have treated her well and taken care of her and her sickness even if she has never been too close to me. How are manang Ida, manong Butch and the kids? Keep supporting Daniele and Danica with school and whatever else they need.  Don’t forget to stay close to manang Fiji, manang Frances, ate Aya, tito Joseph and tita Emily.

Speaking of manang Fiji and Frances, have you been able to study abroad? I really do hope so and if not, I hope you at least went back home to the Philippines and visited everyone. Remember how much traveling was important to me during high school? If you haven’t traveled or studied abroad yet, please make sure at one point in time I will be able to travel.

Have you stayed close with the team? How about other friends like Geneve, Kimthy, Julius, Nick, etc.? I hope if you haven’t stayed close with them, you at least stay in touch. Don’t ever forget the people that were there for us while we were growing up, okay? I know it’s hard not to drift away, but it is well worth it.
